Abstract
"A disciplina de Ensino Religioso foi incluída no currículo das escolas públicas brasileiras no período republicano há 84 anos (1931 – 2015). Os primeiros textos teóricos sobre esse componente curricular datam de 1931, em “Ensino Religioso e Ensino Leigo: aspectos pedagógicos, sociais e jurídicos”, de Leonel Franca, SJ. Em 1933, veio a obra “Os problemas nacionais e o Ensino Religioso” de Werner, SJ. Depois, no ano de 1941, a Revista Eclesiástica Brasileira (Nº 03) publica o artigo “O que se pretende com a instrução religiosa”, de autoria de Paul Tochwicr, sacerdote e professor da então Faculdade de Pedagogia, Ciências e Letras do Instituto Santa Úrsula, no Rio de Janeiro" ["The discipline of Religious Education was included in the public school curriculum Brazilian Republican period for 84 years (1931-2015). The first texts theoretical about this curriculum component dating back to 1931 in "Religious and Lay Education: educational, social and legal aspects," Leonel Franca, SJ. In 1933 came the book "National problems and Religious Education" Werner, SJ. Then in 1941, the International Journal Ecclesiastical (No. 03) published the article "What is intended to religious instruction", authored by Paul Tochwicr, priest and professor at the then School of Education, the Institute Santa Sciences and Letters Ursula in Rio de Janeiro"]
