Abstract
This article discusses about the negotiated hermeneutics of Khaled M. Abou el Fadl to prophet’s hadiths. As a major religion, Islam has two sources, namely the greatest teachings of the Qur’an and al hadith as the core of the largest study of Islamic law. Considering the history of the two codifications, we know that it has a style that is very much different. Al-Qur’an is much more acceptable because of the rational authenticity from the beginning to the systematic codification. While the hadith is often encountered the uncommon codifications. Assuming this, we can understand that tradition is more susceptible to the problem of authenticity, one of them is misogyny traditions that honor the tradition which is contrary to reason and as contained in the mu’tabaroh book. In this case, the study focuses on one of the characters ahlul hadith Khaled Abou El Fadl and his views on hadith and hermeneutical particularly related misogynistic hadith. The background idea of El Fadl is his anxiety to arbitrary expressed by CRLO, where they use the misogynist hadiths as the highest authority to legitimize the validity of their fatwa. From this study, it can be seen that the patterns of thought of el Fadl is not necessarily revealed the hadith of the prophet, but the most interesting thing is his efforts in constructing and integrating two repertoire of classical and modern thought, especially in the field of hadith interpretation.
