"Hace poco en mi barrio aparecieron anuncios que declaraban que los humanos y los chimpancés son idénticos en un 98%.1 Desconozco cuánto éxito tuvo este anuncio que buscaba llamar la atención de potenciales visitantes a la exposición de simios; pero sé que impresionó a mi hija que cursa el séptimo grado. Cuando las campañas publicitarias utilizan estadísticas muy precisas, suelen quedar registradas en las mentes de todos. Pero, ¿de dónde salen? ¿Qué significan realmente?" ["Recently in my neighborhood were ads declaring that Humans and chimps are identical in 98% .1 not know how much successful was this message that was attracting the attention of potential Visitors to the exhibition of apes; but I know that impressed my daughter seventh grade.
