Abstract
The paper investigates he posisition of Islamic Court toward the contemporer legal and political system in Indonesia. Although Islamic Court has its long history in Indonesia before it independence, proved by the existence of strict Islamic Court in many kingdoms, the study reveals that the influence of Dutch Colonial was much more influential in shaping contemporary Indonesia legal system.
