Abstract
This article attempts to describe the frameworks and approaches of science and religion. Although they may differ in how they seek and attain their goals, they do not have not to be so opposed as to be mutually exclusive. The dichotomy of scientific and religious thought has become a pillar of secular civilisation, creating several crises. One of these is the ecological crisis. We can imagine the relationship between science and religion in two models: (1) science and religion have different methodologies and approaches; (2) science and religion have similar or parallel methodologies and approaches. The second model allows us to harmonise scientific and religious views to build a new prespective on theology. The writer wants to show and develop a mutual dialogue and integration of science and religion and to explore the significance and urgency of process theology as a new theo-ecology, particularly in Islamic thought.
