Abstract
"Si conocemos la forma en la que algunos padres de la filosofía, como Aristóteles o Platón, hablaban de la maternidad, podremos estar de acuerdo en que la maternidad no ha sido considerada como un asunto filosóficamente relevante, por sí misma y en su complejidad bio-socio-cultural, hasta fechas relativamente recientes. Aún hoy, a pesar de haber sido ya abordada de modos satisfactorios y sofisticados desde diversas ciencias humanas y sociales, los estudios específicos desde la filosofía sobre maternidad continúan escaseando, a menudo establecidos sin ambages, y simplemente, desde un craso rechazo a la misma o la más roma naturalización" ["If we know how some parents of philosophy, as Aristotle and Plato spoke of motherhood, we can agree that motherhood has not been considered as a relevant issue philosophically, by itself and in its biological complexity sociocultural, until relatively recently.
