Abstract
The author has explored the religious affairs management of CCP and China in five stages.In MAO Zedong's era(1949—1976),LI Zehan pointed out five natures of religions in1958, which reflect as Mass, long-term, international, complex, and national.In DENG Xiaoping's era (1978—1989),many religious affairs have been restored to order, in March 1982,the so-called No.10 Document (The Basic Opinions and Policies on Religious Issues in OurCountry's SocialistPeriod),which was the first special document made by CCP on religious affairs.In JIANGZemin's era (1989— 2004), it was a new period when religious affairs had been managed according to law,and such a thinking was written into the official document of the Notice on how to manage religious affairs better furtherly by the Central Committee of CCP and State Councilin Feb 5th,1992.Three things were emphasized:“Implementing fully the Party's Policy of Freedom of Religious Belief, managing religious affairs according to law,and actively guiding the religion to adapt to the socialist society”.InHUJintao's era(2004—2012), fourprinciples (Implementing fully the Party's Policy of Freedom of Religious Belief,managing religious affairs according to law, adhering to the principle of self-reliance, and actively guiding the religion to adapt to the socialist society) were established.The official document “Religious Affairs Ordinance”was issued in Nov.30th, 2004, and this has epoch- making significance, since it symbolizes that China has entered into an era when religiousaffairsmanagementhasfoundalawtorelyon.InXIJinpingsera (2012-),hecalled “thepeopleamong religious circle and religious believers to play an active role in promoting the development of society and economics”.
