Abstract
This article discusses about women’s political struggle in Iran after the Islamic Revolution of 1979. The author states that after Islamic Revolution, the role of women in social and political domain is better than before. The author also argues that the participation of women in government is better than the other countries in Middle East. This condition indicates that Iran as Islamic country has practiced the gender equality. Although they have many challenges about interpretation of text, domination of men and also policy of government, the movement of women`s politic in Iran is grow and develop indicated by some women activist like Masoemeh Ebtekar (vice president 1997-2001), Fatimeh Javadi (vice president 2005-2009) and Shirin Ebady (Nobel receiver in 2003).
