Abstract
This paper tries to bridge two issues by presenting the Tourism Village Ngelanggeran as best practice management of a tourist village. Ngelanggeran is considered interesting to be studied because its tourist village management is handled by the local youth. Various new innovations are successfully applied in the context of a tourist village. In fact, from the educational background, these young men do not have high education degrees. The researcher thinks that the social capital had been the liaison between the youth with innovation. So, some research questions are raised, namely, how the process of establishing an innovation by Ngelanggeran youth which incidentally have a variety of resource constraints? How this innovation provides benefits to local people and tourists? Is social capital into alternative supporting innovation in resource limitations of youth? The basic assumption used in this study is the best potential for a tourist village if balanced with innovations as well as the ability of people to manage, it will be the tourist village with high economic value and sustainable.
