Abstract
"En el año 2009 el Estado paraguayo puso en marcha el Programa de Pensión Alimentaria a Adultos Mayores. La intención de este programa, dirigido a la población de 65 años y más en condición de pobreza, es mejorar las condiciones de vida de este grupo de población, mediante una transferencia monetaria. El acceso a la Pensión requiere del cumplimiento de ciertas condiciones; el cumplimiento de las metas establecidas por el Estado si bien representan un gran avance en el sistema de protección social, aún no han sido cubiertas en el periodo 2007-2011" ["In the year 2009 the Paraguayan State started the Program of Food Pension to Major Adults. The intention of this program, directed the 65-year-old population and more in condition of poverty, is to improve the conditions of life of this group of population, by means of a monetary transference. The access to the Pension requires the fulfillment of certain conditions; the fulfillment of the goals established by the State although they represent a great advance in the social protection system; still they have not been covered in the period 2007 - 2011"]
