Abstract
"O lugar da mulher no Judaísmo variou segundo o contexto histórico, social, político e religioso. Ele se expressa em todos os campos da vida cotidiana, desde as diferentes rezas da liturgia até a divisão das tarefas no âmbito público e particular, passando pela liberação da obrigação do cumprimento de alguns preceitos, o que determina - segundo a tradição estabelecida por homens -, as prioridades a que as mulheres deveriam dedicar o seu tempo. Acompanhando as mudanças do papel da mulher na sociedade em geral, os movimentos religiosos liberais judaicos permitem a participação igualitária da mulher judia em todos os níveis, inclusive a ordenação de mulheres rabinas. Várias já estão servindo na América do Sul, sendo o Brasil um dos países pioneiros, tanto na formação de rabinas como na contratação de tais profissionais". ["The place of women in Judaism varied according to the historical, social, and political context religious.
