Abstract
The Church of Christ in China (CCC) is a union church involving several denominations, and CCC in Hong Kong belonged to the Sixth District Association of the Guangdong Synod. This article explores the history of CCC in Hong Kong from 1945 to 1956. It discusses post-war church rehabilitation, the impact following the formation of the People’s Republic of China, the tension between local churches and the Sixth District Association, and case studies of local churches joining and leaving CCC.
