Abstract
"La aparición de las técnicas de reproducción asistida en la década de los 70 supuso la apertura de nuevas posibilidades de solución del problema de la esterilidad para un amplio número de parejas aquejadas por esta patología. La novedad y utilidad de estas técnicas hicieron sentir muy pronto en los países de nuestro entorno la necesidad de abordar su regulación" ["The advent of assisted reproduction techniques in the 70s meant the opening of new possibilities for solving the problem of infertility to a large number of couples suffering from this disease. The novelty and utility of these techniques made very early in the surrounding countries the need to address its regulation"]
