Abstract
"Nos últimos anos, a bioética alcançou um patamar de grande relevância, como uma ética aplicada em decorrência de reflexões, inquietações e esforços que têm dominado as ciências e as técnicas dirigidas à vida e à saúde dos humanos. A importância da bioética e seu desenvolvimento no mundo são fatos e estão presentes nas pautas dos governos nacionais, através das comissões ou comitês nacionais de bioética, que têm característica multidisciplinar e seus membros, com formação profissional diversa, pertencentes aos mais variados campos do saber humano. Em função das diferenças e especificidades dessas comissões, este trabalho teve como objetivo obter informações oficiais sobre as comissões nacionais de bioética disponíveis na internet e comparar o conteúdo dos documentos que regulamentam essas comissões. Foram investigados 208 países, dos quais 41 disponibilizam dados de suas comissões em sites oficiais na internet. A maioria dos países desenvolvidos e em desenvolvimento possui comissões nacionais e suas características coincidem em muitos aspectos" ["Bioethics has reached a level of great importance over recent years, as ethics applied consequent to reflections, preoccupations and efforts that have dominated science and techniques directed towards human life and health. The importance of bioethics and its development worldwide have been established, and bioethics is present on national governments’ agendas through National Bioethics Commissions or Committees. These have a multidisciplinary nature and their members, with a diversity of professional training, belong to a very wide variety of fields of human knowledge. Because of the differences and specific features of these commissions, this study had the aims of gathering official information on these commissions that is available on the Internet, and comparing the content of the documents that regulate them.
